Greetings Companions,
As the Christmas season draws near, I find myself reflecting on the blessings of friendship, fraternity and
faith that unite us in Royal Arch Masonry. This time of year also reminds me of the importance of
kindness, generosity and the joy of sharing. It is also a season of optimism and happiness and it is my
hope that everyone is experiencing good health and contentment.
The Christmas season means different things to different people. For some, it is a deeply religious and
spiritual time – a time to reflect on the birth of Jesus Christ and Christianity. For others, it is a time for
spending quality time with their loved ones – family and friends. Still others find this season a time to
reflect upon and be thankful for all that they have. For Companions, it is a time to remind themselves of
the promises they made when they became a member of Royal Arch Masons.
While we reflect upon our blessings, let us all keep in our hearts and minds those who are less
fortunate. For those who live in hunger or without shelter, let us do whatever our cable tow allows us
to assist. For those who are experiencing health problems, let us pray for their speedy recovery. For
those in the world who live in war torn countries, let us keep them in our prayers.
This season is also a time for us to rest, relax and rejuvenate. We should take time during this holiday
season for some “me” time – time to think about life and how fortunate we are and time to reconnect
with family and friends.
As we bid farewell to the year past and welcome the dawn of a new one, I extend to each of you my
sincerest wishes for health, happiness, and prosperity. The turning of the calendar is more than a
change in date—it is a reminder of renewal, of fresh opportunities and of the enduring strength we find
in our fellowship.
The year ahead will surely bring challenges, but I am confident that, together, we will meet them with
courage and wisdom. Our Royal Arch journey teaches us to build upon solid foundations, and I see those
foundations reflected in the dedication, kindness and brotherly love that each of you brings to our Craft.
May the New Year inspire us to continue our labors in harmony, to extend charity to those in need and
to strengthen the bonds that unite us as Companions. Let us carry forward the spirit of fraternity and
faith, ensuring that our Chapters remain places of light and fellowship.
On behalf of the Grand Chapter, as Grand High Priest, and, personally from Dianne and myself, I wish
you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May your homes be filled with
peace, laughter and love during this festive time. May you find rest from your labors, joy in the company
of family and friends, and inspiration for the year ahead.
Holiness to the Lord
